The Northeast Ohio Oracle Users Group (NEOOUG) was established in 1989 to foster information exchange among the user community concerning the implementation and operation of software products provided by or related to the Oracle relational database system. However, with the database world changing rapidly over the last few years and, most organizations embracing multiple database technologies, we plan on providing our members with a more varied list of learning opportunitites. Our members are mostly Database professionals, DBAs and Application Developers who work with a wide variety of database products on a daily basis.
All the people involved in NEOOUG leadership roles are volunteers. We exist to serve our members and to help organize solid, timely, and relevant information.
We provide opportunities for our members to grow both personally and professionally. Just show up at one of our quarterly meetings or conferences and get involved. We are always looking for members who might have something to share with others by presenting and yes, even getting paid by NEOOUG for presenting!
A little secret here: our meetings have the best free pizza around and the networking chances are not to be underestimated. Nothing wrong with being happy with where you are at now but over time a lot of our members do make solid contacts with opportunities for change.
